It's the sense of touch. In any real city, you walk, you know? You brush past people, people bump into you. In L.A., nobody touches you. We're always behind this metal and glass. I think we miss that touch so much, that we crash into each other, just so we can feel something (Crash, 2004)

A photo taken on July 25, 2007 shows Dutch Stephane Cohnen looking for his bike at the Amsterdam bicycle pound, the AFAC. It handles bikes that have been removed because they were illegaly parked or abandoned. The AFAC also stores bikes found or taken by the police. About 110 bikes are brought in daily, all are checked to see if they were reported stolen. Bikes that turn out to be stolen, are returned to their owners.
